Why I speak to sensitives of all kinds

In my Instagram bio it says: “Online classes for HSPs & sensitives of all kinds.”

What do I mean by this?

First of all – I was told to niche down when I took my Instagram Intensive course, which at first was a foreign concept to me.

I love Qi Gong so much that I thought: it should be for everyone!

Which of course it is!

But in order to shape my message, it’s important to know who my audience is – and being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) myself, it felt only logical to address people who are sensitive as well, because I know from experience how amazingly it works for us.

Which is not to say everyone else isn’t welcome too, of course!

Limiting my core messaging to HSPs felt wrong, though, because people who do not identify as HSPs, or who don’t feel they are usually sensitive at all, can have moments or phases in their lives that make them very sensitive.

This can happen through health challenges such as illness, burnout, chronic fatigue, and others, or during difficult life situations or after a traumatic event.

What can also make us more sensitive than usual is the current state of our world. We need to take care of our nervous systems much more – and much more intentionally – than ever before.

Another thing to consider is that there are different levels of sensitivity.

It is a spectrum, like many other things, so you can be sensitive without having the exact traits of an HSP.

So there you go, this is why I am addressing HSPs and sensitives of all kinds!
